Welcome to the Team

You are about to take an important step toward your new Army Career.

Army Knowledge Online (AKO) is the Army's worldwide Intranet. It is accessible from any internet connection. AKO provides you with powerful tools of personalization to enhance your experience and allows you to quickly find the latest knowledge on subjects of your choosing. AKO also provides standardized, encrypted email capability for all soldiers.

Once you ship to training, AKO will become your one stop online site for accessing your military information. As a Future Soldier, this site (www.futuresoldiers.com) targets specific information for you and will be the site you access training along with online chats designed specifically for Future Soldiers just like you.

One of your first requirements as a Future Soldier is to create an AKO account. To create your account, click on the link below. The link will open a popup window on your browser.

NOTE: It takes up to three days after you visit your MEPS before you can create your AKO account. If you have problems creating your AKO account and it has been three days since you visited the MEPS, please contact the FSC

To Create your account:

  • Click here for detailed instructions on how to build an FS AKO account.
  • Click the Register for AKO link below. A popup screen will open.
  • Click Create Full Account. This will present you with a screen asking
  • Enter your SSN, DOB, and PEBD (Pay Entry Basic Date). PED is the date you start getting paid in the U.S. Army. When you visited the MEPS, your Army Guidance Counselor gave you some paperwork called the Annex. Your PEBD is printed on your Annex as YYYYMMDD. Ensure you enter this as shown on the registration screen (MM,DD,YYYY).
  • Complete the remaining questions to finalize your account.
